ANNE, PRINCESS ROYAL, b.1950

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. She was granted arms in 1962, consisting of the royal arms of the United Kingdom differenced by a white label of three points, the outer points with St.George's Cross and the middle point charged with a red heart.

As a woman, Princess Anne places the arms on a lozenge and did not use helm or crest.

Princess Anne was made a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order in 1974. Her lozenge was surrounded by the circlet of the order, with the badge hanging below, from then until that was superseded by the Order of the Garter in 1994.
