PRINCE HENRY, DUKE OF GLOUCESTER, 1900-1974

Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, was the third son and fourth child of King George V and Queen Mary (of Teck). He was granted arms in 1921, consisting of the royal arms of the United Kingdom differenced by a white label of three points, the outer points charged with St.George's Cross, and the centre charged with a red lion.

Prince Henry was admitted to the Order of the Garter in 1921 and so encircled his shield with the Garter.
