MARY, PRINCESS ROYAL & COUNTESS OF HAREWOOD, 1897-1965

Prince Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood, was the third child and only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary (of Teck). He was granted arms in 1921, consisting of the royal arms of the United Kingdom differenced by a white label of three points, each charged with a St.George's Cross.

Prince Mary was made a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order in 1937 and so encircled her shield with the circlet of the order, with the badge below. Previous versions of the arms may have been encircled with the circled and badge of the Order of the Crown of India (1919-1927) and Order of the British Empire (1927-1937).
