PRINCESS ALEXANDRA, LADY OGILVY, b.1936

Prince Alexandra of Kent, The Hon. Lady Ogilvy, is the only daughter and second child of Prince George, Duke of Kent, and a granddaughter of King George V. She married the Hon. Angus Ogilvy (later Sir Angus).

As a grandchild of a sovereign, Princess Alexandra bears the royal arms differenced by a label of five points, in her case the outer points contain red hearts, the centre a blue anchor, and the others a cross of St.George. Her coronet contains alternate crosses patée and strawberry leaves.

Princess Alexandra has encircled her shield with the Garter since being admitted to the order in 2003. Prior to that, she used the insignia of the Royal Victoria Order (1960-2003).
