Prince Michael of Kent is the second son and third child of Prince George, Duke of Kent, and a grandson of King George V. As a grandchild of a sovereign, Prince Michael bears the royal arms differenced by a label of five points, in his case the points are alternately crosses of St.George and blue anchors. His coronet contains alternate crosses patée and strawberry leaves. The arms were granted in 1962. Prince Michael encircles his shield with the circlet, and badge attached, of the Royal Victorian Order, having been a Knight Commander of the order since 1992 and a Knight Grand Cross since 2003. |
