Swansea is in the Church in Wales (Anglican) Diocese of Swansea and Brecon and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Menevia. Until 1923 it was in the Anglican (formerly Catholic) Diocese of St.Davids.
St. Davids is an ancient diocese - originally known as Mynwy - which included Swansea and Gower until 1923.
The Diocese of Swansea and Brecon is part of the Church in Wales, part of the Anglican Communion.
The Diocese of Menevia is part of the Roman Catholic Church.
